Invisalign is the orthodontic system that straightens teeth using virtually undetectable clear aligners. These removable aligners have helped over 4 million people worldwide gain confidence in their newly straightened smiles. If the idea of metal wires, brackets, and lengthy treatment times has kept you from pursuing the straight, healthy smile of your dreams, Dr. Taylor would love to introduce you to the Invisalign treatment system.
Your answer is just a consultation away! Invisalign is continuously innovating their product to expand the range of treatable cases and improve results. The common concerns Dr. Taylor can treat with Invisalign include:
After Dr. Taylor takes digital x-rays for precise images of your teeth, he’ll be able to create a treatment plan that details the movement you can expect to see. Knowing how the teeth will move helps him provide you with the approximate length of time treatment will take, and perhaps best of all, you’ll be given a preview of your post-Invisalign smile!
Using the images of your teeth (and potentially physical impressions), custom clear aligners will be made for each phase of movement. You’ll switch your aligners out every one to two weeks, and you’ll see Dr. Taylor every six weeks or so to ensure your progress is on track.
You’ll want to wear your aligners 20-22 hours each day for the best results. If you’re worried about discomfort, rest assured that Invisalign aligners work their magic gently, and you won’t experience the pain that can come from sharp brackets and wires.

First, celebrate! You’re now the owner of a healthier, beautiful smile, and as such, you’ll want to maintain good oral hygiene habits. This will include a retainer, as with all orthodontic treatments. Preventing your teeth from shifting back to their original position doesn’t have to be unpleasant.
The advancements made in straightening treatments have been accompanied by additional retainer options. Dr. Taylor can inform you of your options and help you decide which type will be the best fit.
